Gari Soakings

A quick and tasty snack, gari is made from cassava that has been crushed, fermented and sieved into small pieces. As the name suggests, gari soakings are made by soaking gari in milk and water with added sugar. For the piece de résistance, toasted groundnuts are added to the soaked mixture to give it that oh-so-crunchy experience. Cheers to life’s little pleasures!

  1. Pour your preferred amount of gari into a bowl.
  2. Add sugar, groundnuts and water to it and stir.
  3. Add your milk and stir.
  4. Your gari is now ready to eat and you can add bread or biscuit to it.
