Nigerian salad is not only delicious, but it is also very nutritious as it contains a variety of vitamins and minerals.

It is believed to have been influenced by Western-style salads but has been adapted to include local ingredients. Nigerian salad is often made with a mix of vegetables such as lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers, as well as fruits such as apples, oranges, and pineapples. Ideally it is customized to fit one’s preferences. The vegetables and fruits are chopped into bite-sized pieces and tossed together in a dressing made from a mix of oil, vinegar, and spices.
